Ephesians 2:1-10 (NLT version)
"Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins. You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil--the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God...But God is so rich in mercy, and He loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, He gave us life when He raised Christ from the dead...God saved you by His grace when you believed. And you can't take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it."
We are 'dead' in sin without Jesus; that is our state. He did not come to make 'bad' people 'good', but to make 'dead' people 'ALIVE.'
John 10:10 (NLT version)
"Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures. The theif's purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life."
Satan's desire is to 'destroy' us. God's desire is to 'satisfy' the needs of our souls, not just fully but overflowing!
Jeremiah 29:11 (NLT version)
"For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope."

Matthew 1:20b-23 (NLT version)

Hebrews 1:1-3a (NLT version)
"Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets. And now in these final days, He has spoken to us through His Son. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son He created the universe. The Son radiates God's own glory and expresses the very character of God, and He sustains everthing by the mighty power of His command..."
Jesus - fully God, fully man.
2 Peter 1:20-21 (NLT version)
"Above all, you must realize that no prophecy in Scripture ever came from the prophet's own understanding, or from human initiative. No, those prophets were moved by the Holy Spirit, and they spoke from God."
2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NLT version)
"All scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip His people to do every good work."
